The Grand Series of Poker (GSOP) is the OnGame network’s online poker tournament series, now also a live tournament series with the name GSOP Live. The GSOP run twice a year with each spanning 3 weekends and boasts over $3 million in tournament guarantees over 17 events (x2). Each event has a main event as well as a Grand Slam event with a $5,000 buyin. In parallel there is now also a GSOP mini series along with a mini Grand Slam event. The 2 most highly recommended sites to play on the Ongame network are Red Kings and Betfair.
Each GSOP also has a leaderboard, where the winner of the leaderboard automatically receives a $5,000 Grand Slam direct buy-in. But not only the first place pays out, 2nd to 10th will play for another Grand Slam Final ticket, 11th to 30th play for another, and 31st to 100th battle it out for the final ticket.
To spice things up, there is also a GSOP SideBet system setup where extra money can be won. After the final GSOP event has taken place, the winners of the GSOP Sidebet Leaderboard are paid out.
The 6th edition of the GSOP will take place over 15days from February 27 to March 13, 2011. There will be 15 events plus the Grand Slam Final the week after.
